Odds are you do not see it but for me this is yet another turning point when it comes to little Oliver. Tonight is the first night that we do not have him wrapped up like a mummy.
I thought trying this out tonight would be a good idea because it is Saturday night and I do not have to work in the morning. Of course since this is the first night doing this we (ok Jaclyn) had a hell of a fight getting him down. I think it was more of a chore than normal is because Oliver is not used to having his arms free so he can get into a little mischief (like constantly pulling out his soother).
Also we decided that it would be a good idea to have his hands covered for the first little bit so he does not hurt himself in the night. Of course I do know that this is going to get easier over the next few weeks and we will not have to do the wrapping of the hands.
We are also moving out at the end of the month to a bigger place!!! I am so happy we got the place that we got because it is bigger and we are only a 10 minute walk from Jacs dads place. One thing that sort of suck balls is that the 1st of March falls on a Thursday and we are not able to get into it until noon. Since it is during the week what we are going to do is move our stuff into the garage at Jacs dads and when we are able to get in we will only have to drive like a minute down the street instead of a 20 to 30 minute trip.
So now it is time for me to hit the sack since I do have to go and do the laundry in the morning. One thing that totally sucks balls is that since my car is in the shop Jac has to drive me and pick me up. More of a pain than I would like on a Sunday but what can you do?
So today I got some really AWESOME news…last night I was at my inlaws place and I was telling then that we finally found a way to get my mother out here. Basically we were going to buy 2 tickets for her one tickets we would get in a few weeks (depending on when she was going to be coming out) and then get the return ticket a few weeks later.
Well here is the good news, Jaclyn got a call from her dad and he told her that he would fly her out on his airmiles and we would just have to pay the taxes. I am so excited that I can officially tell my mom that she IS coming out here she just has to pick the dates.
I will have to call her in the morning because of the time difference but I think that she will be happy.
So last night I was farting around with the router and I managed to kill the network. This is not the fail I am referring to though. Where the fail occurred is when I managed to kill the camera in Olivers room. If I wasn’t so freaked out about it I could have had the problem resolved in about 2 minutes but it managed to take about an hour to get it fixed.
Basically I reset the router and all I would have had to do is rename the router and set the SSID and security password back to the name I was initially using with the camera and the camera would have been back online. Since I didn’t do this I had to take the camera out of Olivers room and re-initiate it with the network. Once again this does not sound like a bad thing but when the little guy is about to go to bed. Since he was a little pain in the butt I could get the issue resolved.
As for the mystery solved …I use Google+ instead of Facebook and over the last few weeks the feed have been really really quiet. For a little bit I was thinking that I was going to dump it and stick with Facebook (ECK!!!!). Well this morning I was on it on G+ and I decided that I would add someone to my following circle. When I added the person I saw the ALL my people I was following were gone. For the life of me I cannot not figure out why this happened but I am going to assume this could have happened when some changes were made to G+. Oh well the issue is fixed and now I can finally get caught up.
So tonight we went out to look at the first (of probably many) places to rent and of course the pictures were a little miss leading.
when you look at this place it looks like a multi-level house with a garage.
Well this picture totally bamboozled us. I am not saying that this place is a shit hole or anything I am only saying that this place is 1 level up a flight of stairs. Basically it is a place for someone that is single or a couple, not someone with a small child. So I think that we are going to pass on this place. Also I noticed that the area that this place is in (Panarama) has a lot of houses crammed into a small area and it is a little claustrophobic.
Ok so the title is totally misleading it wasn’t an EPIC fail it was just not what we were looking for. As for the ribs aspect of the title I am having 2 racks of ribs I got from CO-OP on the weekend.

So like normal I am hunting around this thing called the internet and I happen to find a trailer to a Ridley Scott movie called Prometheus. Of course this sparked my interest because I heard about this movie a long time ago (well at least the rumours of this movie).
Once I saw the trailer for it I was totally pumped for it because this is the “Origin” story for the whole Aliens saga.
I am hoping that since it is Scott doing the film that he has made it as gritty as the original Alien film. I guess time will tell. Also when it comes to this movie I do not care what the critics are going to say about it I am definitly going to go and see this flick

So it is Thursday and I am just getting ready to head off to work. I am not working with my boss. Actually I have not been really working with my boss much as of late. I don’t really mind though. I have been doing some actual work since I have been working with other people.
I got a few new aches and pains…lately my right new has been really sore. I don’t know what that means but I am sure it can’t be good. I am going to have to make an appointment sometime and have it looked at.

The other day I was talking to Joey the shop guy and I was telling him that I would really like to get my hands on a full face gas mask. The next day I came into work and what do I see…that’s right you are looking at my brand new North 5400 gas mask.
At this time I only have the default cartridges but I am going to be getting a tougher filter system and since they are “relativity” cheap I think I will get some in the new year sometime.
So what else is new? Well over the last week me and Jaclyn decided that we would take Oliver and have a day out. We figured that since he liked the bath that he would like hanging out in a pool. WE WERE RIGHT with that assumption. I was waiting for him to start crying in the pool but he was really chill. The first day the pool was a bit chilly for him but he lasted 30 minutes. Luckily the price of the swimming was only 2 dollars each so we didn’t really lose any cash.
So last night I was sitting around doing nothing like usual and I had to check my voice mail. When tried to check it I was not hearing anything. Of course I checked to make sure that the call connected. It did but there wasn’t any sound.
Of course at this time I was starting to panic because my phone was “broken”. I thought that I could try and reset my phone and this could possibly fix the issue I was having. It didn’t … I did some research about the issue and I found out that the issue was something really stupid.
Earlier in the day I was using my phone to watch an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with my ear buds. When I pulled to plug out I guess the phone thinks that the ear buds are still plugged in and kills the speaker (temporarily). The fix for it was simple. I just had to plug the buds back in and unplug them again and the situation was resolved. I know this is something stupid to write about but hey its something.
